My Top 5 MAC Cosmetics Lipsticks

As you will all know, MAC cosmetics lipsticks are one of the best selling lipsticks. There are such a wide range of colours, there is so much to choose from. Which is what made my choosing only five of my favourites a struggle. I didn’t want to go for colours that looked the same, I decided to go for darks and nudes because I know not everyone has the same taste.

The first colour I chose was ‘Diva’. This colour is a dark purple shade which looks perfect on any skin tone. As you can see from the photo, it is not always a shade I wear because I’m a nude gal, but this colour is amazing if you want a change. It is matte finish so stays on the skin all day, it does not stain the skin around the lips if you overdraw your lips. I personally love this colour because its so bold and eye catching if you want to stand out in the crowd. I would like to thank my beautiful best friends for buying me this for my birthday. If they didn’t buy this, I would never of realised how beautiful this shade actually is. Shout out to you Emily and Tasha x

The next colour is Russian Red. This is a very vivid matte red, and I absolutely love it. I tend to pair this lipstick with a natural eye look and it works so well. Of course everyone’s opinion is different, but everyone needs a red lippy in their collection. If you’re looking for one, I promise you would not be disappointed with this shade. Its so pigmented and one swipe on the lips is all you need.

The next shade is my most used and most loved. Honey Love. This is my precious lipstick, and I am so glad I purchased this. This was the first MAC lipstick I ever bought because it reminded me of Velvet Teddy. In a way, I’m so glad Velvet Teddy was sold out that day because I got to purchase this one instead. This shade is very similar to Velvet Teddy but a lot more nude whereas Velvet Teddy is more brown. (I’ve typed Velvet Teddy that much, the words look weird now). This is another matte finish – as you can tell, I’m a fan of matte finishing lipsticks – but the final result of this lipstick is beautiful. I sometimes pair this shade with ‘Twig’ and give it the ombre effect and I can’t get enough of it. I would recommend this lipstick a million times.

The next shade is a perfect nude, Blankety. At first, when I looked at the lipstick online I thought it would look like foundation lips, we all know what foundation lips are and it is NOT a good look. Despite this I purchased it, and I was in awe when I put this on. Lipstick is one of my favourite parts of makeup, alongside foundation – so I get a little excited when I love a shade. Make up lovers can relate. This shade is perfect on any look, whether its just an every day look or a bold look. Don’t worry about what eye look you pair with this because it will look so good. This shade is an amplified finish, so its very glossy and in my opinion, plumps my lips and makes them look bigger. Magic, I know. I wear this pretty much everyday (if honey love is having a day off of course). A definite must in everyone’s lipstick collection.

Finally, we have a well known shade, Twig. Twig is a mix between a dark shade and a nude shade which is why this is one of my favourites. Again, I think this lipstick goes with any look because its so natural looking and gives a great finishing touch. This is a satin finish, which is a little glossy but looks more natural then an amplified lipstick. Beautifuuuuuuuuuuul.

All MAC lipsticks are £15.50, unless they are limited edition of a different type of lipstick (I’m the worst at explaining, I apologise).

Love always, Beth x
